I have known Vinko as an enormously motivated, tech-savvy and knowledgeable scientist for more than a decade. The quality that impresses me the most is his ability to envision bold goals that I think could never be done - but then he manages to achieve them.

From my work with Vinko, I experienced him as a very open-minded and innovative scientist, always aiming to reach the next level in generating, integrating and interpreting data.

What makes Vinko absolutely unique is his combination of a number of skills that are rarely found together. He has profound technical and hands-on knowledge of both the biochemical and statistical aspects of his work, the nitty-gritty details of how analysis goes and how to fix it when it does not work. Yet, he has a 'big picture view', broad vision for highly relevant and still open scientific questions, and drive towards big goals - his passion is contagious. His entrepreneurial skills in the management of his resources, including personnel and budget, impressed me; he is an excellent manager and leader at the same time, capable of working with different stakeholders, leading them together towards a common goal. In the face of any type of issue, technical, personal or managerial, he is resilient and creative in finding solutions. Finally, last but not least, he is a very communicative, loyal and honest person, making it a joy to work with.

I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Vinko Tosevski in the Cancer Immunotherapy Department at Roche for more than three years. It`s rare to come across an outstanding scientist that is (ridiculously) knowledgeable, creative, inspiring and most importantly, helpful. Vinko is a highly focused and hard-working person being highly dedicated to innovation and research, but also a fantastic team member. I am highly impressed by Vinko's ability to explain the most complex scientific topics to a broad audience in a way that is both entertaining and educative, while keeping the right balance between simplification and scientific depth. Scientific discussions with him were incredibly stimulating - he was always ready to hear other opinions and incorporate them in his conclusions. As a colleague and friend, Vinko earns my highest recommendation.
